Sports: Hearts coach Neilson glad to have Super Eagles Oshaniwa

Abuja - Former Sharks FC (Port Harcourt) defender, Juwon Oshainiwa has left Israeli club, FC Ashdod he joined in 2012 and has completed a move to Scottish club, Hearts.

Hearts coach, Robbie Neilson didn't mince words on how tough it was to pick the Nigeria international, Juwon Oshaniwa. 

 “I’m delighted to get Juwon here and signed up. It’s been a long process to get him here in Edinburgh, but he’s here now and he’s desperate to get started. He’s a top quality player and he’ll bring a lot of qualities to our squad. We’re all very happy," Neilson told Hearts News.

The Ilorin born defender, Oshaniwa,24 started his career with Kwara United then moved to Lobi Stars and Sharks FC all clubs based in Nigeria before tied a deal with Israeli club, FC Ashdod.

The left footed player helped the Super Eagles to an Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) triumph in 2013 and also played in all of Nigeria matches at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil after Nigeria's first choice in the left back, Elderson Echijine picked an injury few days to the World Cup. 

Oshaniwa has 17 caps for Nigeria since he made his debut in 2012.
