Warri Wolves have ended the mine match unbeaten record of Enyimba after they inflicted a 2-1 defeat to the People's Elepahnt at the Warri City Stadium on Sunday in a NPFL Week 17 tie.
The Seasiders have not beaten Enyimba in the last four years in Warri but they put a halt to that after Abu Azeez's match winner in the 65th minute of the encounter.
Wolves shot into the lead for the first time in the match in the 42nd minute after the Super Eagles' striker, Gbolahan Salami marked his return with a goal but Goodluck Onamado handed the visitors a lifeline when he handled the ball in the penalty area, and Christian Obiozor stepped forward to even scores from the spot in the dying moment of the first half.
On the resumption of the second half, Warri Wolves' players came in more energised and they got the much desired winning goal after Azeez's scorcher 25 minutes from time settled the tie for the coach Paul
